Finally some news. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a US release.

I hope one of our German friends on the forums will jump on, download it, and let us know how it goes.

What... so that's all it is after all this time; just some silly fighting arena with no depth? That's all... a simple little fighting arena with next to no storyline or sidequests, and BioWare wouldn't even just tell us that despite knowing full well that there are people out there with Shepards stuck before Ilos or Virmire waiting in case some kind of decision from this DLC carries over to ME2?

Seriously... that's appalling. I can't actually find the words adequate to describe how utterly disappointed in you guys I feel at the moment. Not that the DLC took so long, but that you constantly jerked us about at every point regarding it. Unless it's got more to it than just being a silly arena, I'm not giving you guys a damn cent for this on principle alone.

Yep, I can't imagine any possible reason why they have been so silent about this. This DLC doesn't sound like so big that they had to be so secretive and all. I don't know what's going on there in Bioware headquarters but something is wrong.

Actually, I can. When people expect a grand DLC that improves or adds a lot to the game, and you're going to give them a simple combat scenario, better keep silent and not create a lot of hype - less hype, less dissapointment.

I honestly can't believe Bioware haven't said anything yet. Do you think they've read the posts yet? Surely they must have.

Can we please get a Bioware mod to clear this up: is the new DLC actually out in Switzerland, or has someone just seriously stuffed-up?

As far as I can tell from looking around the various country-specific Xbox sites, it's still only out in Switzerland. When I've tried to download, I get the same response others have - not available in my region (I'm in the US). Here's my question - has anyone in Germany or elsewhere on the continent tried downloading it? I'm curious whether 1) it actually is downloadable and 2) whether it's restricted to just Switzerland.

I dunno... if people knew from the start that it was just a simple combat scenario, they'd know pretty much what they're in for and be able decide whether it was worth waiting for or getting. Keeping silent about it just gives people hope that it'll be something more, and a false hope at that, so that when its revealed to be something with little substance and depth beyond what it actually is it makes people feel annoyed.

I'll refrain from any further direct comments about it until some people have downloaded it and I can actually read some feedback and reviews on the DLC, but it seems to me that, given the description, it's something that's substantially lacking in any real depth, particuarly given the time it's taken to be developed. And this very lack of depth just serves to frustrate me more, because it eliminates the one factor that could have explained BioWare's silence about it all: story spoilers.

You don't know how much of a story it has. If it's on the level of BDtS it's fine.

Hi, I'm Shepard and in a hurry to save the galaxy, but first I'm going to prove my worth in a shooting gallery?

Well, it has been advertised as a "light on story" content. I fear Mass Effect is slipping more and more towards the shooter crowd.
I'll wait for reviews and videos, so I won't give judgement prematurely, but I'm honestly un-impressed.
