Count me in as well. If I didn't have a life to attend to outside of my computer, I would never leave my seat until Mass Effect was released. It looks like a truely spectacular game, and i can't wait to play it... or get updated information on it! *drools*
And the forums are a nice too, a real good colour scheme you guys used. Well done.

I for one am really excited for mass effect, if only because it's from Bioware. Because, if only one thing was allowed to be mentioned, Bioware exceeds other rpg-developers by epic story telling. Therefore my expectations are very very high.
I learned via, gamespot.com it is going to be an action rpg. Now this brought me some concerns since Bioware's latest action-rpg "Jade Empire" was a great game though short. Let's get one thing straight: I LOVE Jade Empire, I LOVE the story, I Love the npcs and how they were integrated in the story. However Jade Empire was short, I'm not saying too short because the ending felt like "the" ending. But an rpg that takes roughly 15-20 hours to complete is short. So my only concern is the length.
I want an RPG to take a long time. I love games but the only problem is the price. That's why I love rpgs, they usually take quite some time to complete. This doesn't mean I don't think Jade Empire wasn't worth the 60,- euros I shelled out for the special edition though. But I really, REALLY, hope that in Mass Effect only the main quest will take you on a 30+ hour journey.
Of course I do not doubt Bioware's skill to create an RPG of "epic" proportions, or it's skill to be sucked into your character. I do hope it is longer and that is all.

After watching the trailer and reading up on MassEffect at Gamespot. I definitely have to own a Xbx360 solely for this game alone. It's looks amazing, great concept, and just.. I can't wait.

I'm eagerly awaiting what you guys have in store for us this time, but since I've played and loved your games so far, I'm sure it will be an unique and awesome experience once more.
I'm also in the process of re-coding and re-designing my website (www.lancersreactor.com, Starlancer/Freelancer Fan Site) in order to cover Mass Effect. I've even brought in a couple new Admins for that. I've also send an email your way btw to discuss something, but it was send to the general email address, so I hope it reaches the right persons.
So yeah, I'm definitely very eagerly awaiting Mass Effect. I have a Xbox right now which I enjoy a lot and was thinking of going for the 360, but seeing that Mass Effect is in development, the choice was made very easy

In my case I picked up Jade Empire, became a Bioware Junkie, and found KOTOR.
Hadn't given the X-360 much thought until I saw that "YOU" were developing a title for the system.
Now it has become a "must buy" item.
LOL - I'm even pricing a new PC so I can get hooked into "Neverwinter". I guess it's safe to say I enjoy the works of Bioware - LOL.Edited By Koda Softpetal on 10/14/05 17:21 |

I'm excited too!
I wonder if you will be able to import your end game save from ME into parts two and three? Because if it's supposed to be a trilogy I think it would be cool to have each subsequent game based on what you *really* did at the end of the previous one. Maybe I'm asking too much? |

I had never heard of Bioware untill I played KOTOR and was simply stunned at it's greatness (yup took me a good while to get an xbox originally), but any product that gets game of the year, has to be solid eh.
Either way since playing that I was hooked, getting Jade Empire which I thoroughly enjoyed on the same scale as KOTOR, as a fan of MArtial arts movies and the games. (RPGS Beat em Up's etc)
Now you lot are making Mass Effect, that alone speaks volumes to me as you're one of my fav game developers other than Ubisoft. So i'm positive ME will be as big as a success as KOTOR was and more

If it's bioware it must be good. I'd give Jade Empire the best game of the year 2005 so far and kotor the best game of 2003. |
