Finaly a magazine has given the kind of story ive been waiting for on Mass Effect , just picked up my copy of EGM today ,and boy was drool leaking from the side of my mouth at the prospect of playing such a master piece , they even dropped a few clues as as too the compatabilty with the charachter you create with the second and third instalments of the game, the screen shots where beautiful too , from what there describing in the magazine Mass Effect will far surpass the expected Genre of so called computer gaming entertainment and will border onto somthing else completly an enteractive movie of sorts where you'll never want it too end , my only question is did the guys at EGM actually get too play it or did they have too endure the torture of just sitting there and watching more game play demos? Shout out too the boys an girls at BIOWARE for making it all possible , True innovators in a somtimess uninspired industry ....to be continued =:good Edited By FutureBoy81 on 08/20/06 23:29 |

Only if it doesn't bring something new to the table. Since the topic has only been open a short time and the guy might not have had time to add more... who knows. _________________ May your loins always be full of fruit. |

Hopefully he does, I don't have the money for the magazine and would like to hear in-depth about it. |

Ditto, but if you have a bookstore like Barnes & Nobles in the vicinity then chances are that they'll have one on the stands all ready to read. _________________ May your loins always be full of fruit. |

Well now, don't be a wanka, give us some details! QUOTE, DAMN IT! lol
Awww you want details huh , well ill give you some since im such a nice god = :evillol , now im just giving a few quotes here , Mr. muzyka states " your decisions have tremenduos effect on the way the story unfolds, both in the characters around you (post kotor) and even in things you'll encounter hours later in the game(i take that as in real time involvment in enviroment changes or whoever you encounter)and even in the ultimate end of the game" . then EGM goes on to state your choices can even effect future episodes of the game, in the four page spread theres some great shots of shepard involved in some sort of scrap with the geth below the drawbridge of the ship with shepard in sneak mode with his gun close to his face Malcolm X style , also some wonderful lighting effects with the cylops geth war machine thingy. Also apparently it is an option too go solo, you do not have to pick up team mates too journey with you through the galaxy, theres also a screen shot of sheperd aiming his rifle into the horizon with the sun glare blocking his view while he's fightnsome sort of sand worm creature, below that pic is another one of a battle going on in the all terrain veichle with the same creature only this time theres a solor eclipse going on in the back ground, Mr. Hudson then goes on to say "its too cool a concept not too do (continueing the rest of the games with your custom character)",Also theres somthing there about there being downloadable content i.e. armour , weapons, characters ext, even certian parts of the galaxy might even be availiblethrough downloads then the writer asks Mr. hudson if there would be an apearanceof old mother earthin the future games he replies " i cant say , but anythings possible !"...... to be continued..... |

Now, now. There's no need to get worked up over anything. The thread will last, or not, as the mods see fit. And, just FYI, ignoramus is probably not the best epithet for this situation.
Quote: ... the cylops geth war machine thingy. That would be the Geth Armature, according to the caption. It's a quadriped. Its legs are articulated in two places (hip and knee, roughly) and terminate without any special feet. The body appears to be pretty much flat on the bottom and ovoid on top. It has a thick (~50% of its body size) and long-ish (~75% the size of its abdomen) which terminates in what appears to be a typical Geth head. There is the single "flashlight eye" mounted towards the top of a narrowish head with a large gun mounted where a mouth would normally be.
All of the outward-facing surfaces appear to be relatively well-armored though there seems to be a vulnerable area at the base of the neck. The knee joints are also somewhat exposed, and there are loose wires hanging from the legs.
Quote: ... some sort of sand worm creature... The harvesters look sort of like a cross between Zerg hydralisks and praying mantises. With wings. From their size, the wings appear largely vestigial, which is just as well. |

How is too much attention to detail a bad thing? It especially helps to us people without the magazine. |
