We have changed the Final Mass Effect box art and the new cover can now be seen in the gallery here: Click Here
Why was it changed? Well, simply put, Casey and the ME team thought it could be better. Although everyone liked the (now changed) art, Casey and the team felt that a change to the logo was needed.
Before Casey became a project lead here at BioWare he got his start as an artist, so if there is a way to improve things artistically, Casey is very (I have to use the word obsessive, so I'll use) dedicated to make the change.
So there you go. Final art. This time, for sure.

The logo looks a lot more basic and less detailed but the box art also looks less cluttered  ...
Can you comment on the "Collectors Edition" box art that has been seen: Is it real?... |

Nice. I like the extra detail on saren, and im sure alot of people will be pleased with the text colour change. It seems less colourful, but that might be cause im tired.

Nope. It was bugging Casey since they chose the (now old) art. He realized what it was and made the change.

Yes. That's not a bad thing though. Assuming the pic of the old box art at this site hasn't been altered from the one originally released by BioWare, it was jarringly oversaturated.
This is not to say they would have printed it as such, only that the colours of the new pic probably more accurately represents what will be seen on the actual box.Edited By noaxark on 03/19/07 22:22 |
