Hey, I'm new the forum so I don't know if this question has been asked but I would like to know if there will be mind puzzles in Mass Effect?
For example in KOTOR we had to figure out how to measure four gallons of liquid using only a five and three gallon jug. We also had to move four energy rings in a certain order on three poles.
I know some people find these things annoying but I for one find them fun because they play with your mind so I hope they are in Mass Effect and would really like to know if they are in there. |

I'd prefer them to be more like the court trial on Manaan than classic logic type puzzles. Imo they don't fit into the game. They seem chucked in.
What's this? We need to defuse the nuclear bomb by playing Towers of Hanoi! |

I don't know. Puzzles may interfere with the realistic tone of the game. Unless they come up with something similar to a real life situation. |

Yeah but in KOTOR I thought it made sense, they would be used to unlock things or to prove your worth especially on Korriban. I just found them fun and interesting, I liked having to analyze the situation and figure out the best way to carry it out.
I also did enjoy the Mannaan trial but that may stem from my obbsession with forensics and criminal law. Still it was fun doing that too. |

Or you could just take the easy way out and kill the giant shark mother. Destroying the ecosystem is the way to go! Clearly society has reflected that for many years, so it has to be the right thing to do! _________________ 600 posts and counting with an astonishing rate of 1% of posts not filled with utter crap! |

LOL Only if you want to go darkside, if you're an angel that wasn't an option. Besides those sharks scared me I certaintly didn't want to take on the mother. _________________ I live in a world filled with constant fanfiction...it's okay I like it here. |

All I want is a yes or a no, they don't have to tell me what they are because then I will have a lot of fun trying to figure out which ones they will put in if any. _________________ I live in a world filled with constant fanfiction...it's okay I like it here. |

Why would someone use a puzzle a 10 year old could solve to lock something of vital importance? The puzzles were fun (if not very original) but clearly belonged to the fantasy genre. Also I thought the Manaan trial dialogue choices (like a lot of BW's dialogue) were pretty arbitrary. I picked lines which made perfect sense in the situation and still did not get the expected results. |

You had ONE thread locked and quite rightly so. It was a release date thread. They all get locked ...
No need to spam the boards. Please be considerate...
If you don't like it then don't ruin other peoples threads. if you have a complaint then make your own thread to do so. Though, unless it's rule-abiding then it's going to get locked ... |

Quite right Jedi!
Back on topic, Half-Life 2 had some pretty intelligent puzzles that also seemed realistic. |
