As announced this morning, Mass Effect will be on store shelves in North America on November 20 on Australian shelves on November 22 and on store shelves in Europe Nov 23.
Why the small difference? Well, in North America new games are released on Tuesdays but in Australia on Thursdays and in Europe, they are released on Fridays, so this is as simultaneous as we could get it.
As the annoucnement said, we do not yet have any more dates for other regions, but when we do, you'll be able to read about them here, so stay tuned.

Thanks Chris for the update...but that means bad news for me...it's the day before my 5 year wedding anniversary and we will be out of town (and away from my xbox) for that week...

Do big stores always have the game on release date? My concern was it may not appear on some store shelves before Friday, but I guess they could ship early and embargo sales. |

Really big games they release it in NA on Tuesday aka Halo 3 and Madden but not really sure about ME. Might be like most of the others and put on Wednesday. |

I knew they would release it in the twenties. especially being pretty close to thanksgiving and black friday. I may not get it right away. I might get it on my birthday (the first of december).
