Those intrepid webmonkies have been hard at work making improvements to the Mass Effect Community page located here: http://masseffect.bioware.com/community/
You'll notice they've redone some areas, changed up some buttons, and added the all new, Fan Submission Tool (FST). With the Fan Submission Tool (FST) we can now accept work directly to BioWare form you fans. Currently we're focusing on pictures, but eventually we hope to be able to take written, audio and video submissions as well.
To kick off the new FST (Fan Submission Tool), we holding a contest for the best Mass Effect wallpapers. You can make them anyway you want: recombine our existing ME art, draw, MS Paint, fingerpaint, whatever you want to create a cool Mass Effect wallpaper.
Jay and I are going to look over all of the submissions. All the cool ones will be displayed in a section of the Mass Effect pages for everyone to enjoy and will even be included in teh fan site kit.
And those that we think are extra special will recieve a fistful of cool swag from the BioWare store for their efforts. So the cooler the wallpaper, the more chance you'll have to be part of Mass Effect AND get something cool back.
So get submitting those wallpapers.

Yep. You create a wallpapaer and submit it to us for display. We'll gve out some cool swag to the ones we think are coolest and post as many as we can up in the gallery.

are we allowed to make dual screen wallpapers? I had an idea for one, of course it could also work as a single screen, the idea was just originally for my computer which happens to have two monitors. |

Yep, you can make dual screen wallpapers, but should we choose to display them, we can't promie they will be side to side (though we would try).

Ugh...this is so not my forte. Graphic design I am not even close to good at. Great that you're running this contest, I know there are plenty of members here who can put out some fine wallpapers. My using photoshop or such is an insult to photoshop. 
Alas, I am more of the writer type than artist. Good luck to all the those that submit designs. Hopefully there will be a literature contest or such.

This was only just posted the yesterday. Give them a chance. Can't expect miracles over a weekend, and in any case, people need time to create and submit their wallpapers. Not much point in an empty gallery. |
