Hi everyone,
I have just confirmed with the development team that we are making a small change to the release date of Mass Effect for the PC. We had previously announced May 6, 2008 for North America. The new release date for North America is May 28, 2008 and June 6, 2008 in Europe.
The team here at BioWare, working closely with the good folks at Demiurge Studios, has decided that a few more weeks in the studio will ensure we deliver the quality that our fans deserve. The additional time will allow us to incorporate more play-testing feedback, add extra polish and tune the additional features so that Mass Effect is a natural and outstanding PC gaming experience.
BioWare and EA are dedicated to excellence. We’re confident that the extra time will be reflected in the final PC experience that we deliver to our fans.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to delivering a great game!

Yeah I can't wait, and maybe its better this way, the original release date was right at the start of my exams 
This way I'll take all of my exams, and then i'll be free to play Mass Effect! |

Do you know when will Mass Effect be released in south america? More especifically, in Brazil?

Thanks for the update. I have no problem of games being pushed back for better polishing and its still like 1 month before the original release date for the news. So thank you.
On my other thread, yes I'm sorry; I originally said the 27th was a Sunday so shipping the 28th is more logical however I was looking on this months (April) calendar LOL
May 27th does fall on a Tuesday whereas May 28th is a Wednesday; my mistake. |

I'll see if I can get any firm dates for regions besides North America and Europe. If I can, I'll post them here.

Thanks for confirming the new release date and ending the release speculations. Although I'm sad about the delay, I would definitely prefer the game to be more polished than being shipped out prematurely. Regardless, I definitely look forward to buying this game. |

May 28, eh? Works for me, except it seems kind of strange that the game will be released on a Wednesday in North America. I thought North America game releases occurred on Tuesdays. Meh. Whatever. I've rescheduled my vacation accordingly. |
