Here is the message I get. I've been trying to trouble shoot it. Not sure where to go from here. I get the start up splash screen then this error and the game quits.
"Failed to compile global shader FDofandBloomGatherFallbackPixelShader
RaiseException()Address=0x7c812a5b (filename not found) CxxThrowException()Adress=Ox78158e89 (filename not found) GMatrix2D::Swap()Address=0x10d98373 (filename not found) Address = oxe8781b4c (filename not found)
So any info would help, Thanks! |

Can you guys post more information about your system setup and hardware? This will allow us to better look into the issue and offer specific troubleshooting information if necessary.

I'm really frustrated. At first I got that same "Failed to compile global shader FDOF..." message about the compiler too, then I followed the tech support website advise and disabled my Windows User Account, reinstalled, and reenabled it and jumped through those hoops, then I got that compiler message PLUS a really long message after that including "Raise Exception () Address = 0x77c042eb (File name not found)..." it went on for 9 more lines. THEN I realized my graphics board was an ATI 1250 and it required an XT1300. SO, I bought and installed a new GeForce GT9600 OC which more than meets minimum requirements.
NOW, I try to start up. I no longer get a compiler error, it gets to the little introduction picture, then the entire screen turns black and the windows timer just turns over and over and nothing happens. Games just stuck. All my drivers are up to date and I'm not running any background programs. I just paied $200 for this new video card and spent 2 hours installing it.
Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Sure my Hardware is:
Dell XP 3.4Ghz Pent 4 2Gig ram ATI Radeon X300/X500/X1050 256mb Sigma Tel Audio
That's about everything I think important off my dxdiag. Tho, My graphics card isn't what I thought it was. So perhaps that is my problem? |

ATI Radeon X300/X500/X1050 256mb
Unfortunately, you are quite right in that your video card is likely the issue. The game requirements for ATI cards state that a "X1300 XT" or better is needed. Your card is under that requirement.
That said, sometimes you can get around that by making sure your drivers are up to date, and running the game in a window and/or with lower settings. However, if you continue to have issues, it may just be a limitation or conflict with that piece of hardware.
If you decide to try to return the game, and the retailer will not accept it back after being opened, then you can Click Here for information on the EA warranty policy.

I was WAY off on the card. I thought I had something completely different >.> Sadly. Ill try to run it at low resolutions and see what happens. In any case, I just ordered a new Dell. So that will fix it in about a week >.< |

That makes me nervous because the Dell that is ordered is a 8800 Card >.> I'd really not like to see almost 3k spent on a new rig and then STILL can't play this game. Pandas would cry tears of their soul..... |
