I couldn't wait, and already made my next Shepard. I'm going to properly play her once I'm done with Elsha.
Her name is Thurse, which is a word from one of my books on words (specifically, my precioussssss, "Lost Beauties of the English Language" by Charles Mackay, which is just as old as I am, having been published in 1987.), and means "a giant, a spectre".
So here she is, Thurse Shepard.
I was going for a more Latin American look. Did I succeed?
Her background is Earthborn, and Ruthless. She can be quite not-nice, even if she looks nice.

HI, I posted in the last thread on page nine, that my female Shapards are always ugly, and I don't know how to make a beautiful Shepard LIKE this:

I haven't managed to do something like this, I believe it must be the XBox version...
So still, please help me, how can I make a good-looking female? |

So still, please help me, how can I make a good-looking female? Actually, you just have to fiddle with it, and see how things look. I must have been sitting in front of that face editor for at least 15 minutes minimum, before I was happy with my Kuonrada.
Also, you should not go by what you Shepard looks in the Intro Movie, because for some reason they *all* look quite awful that first time you see them from the front. I took three Shepards for me to create one that actually looked good in that scene, but even though the other two looked awful in that scene, they *all* looked great in the rest of the game.
So, try fiddling with the controls. Try different face shapes, and don't always go by "standard" marks of beauty (a small nose is fine, but some faces look awful with one. They might need a larger nose to look right, for example.). Be patient, and you will succeed.
Take Thurse Shepard, whom I posted in my last post. She has a relatively square face. Normally, oval faces are considered the "perfect" face shape. But this more squarish shape just works well with the rest of her face, and it looks good (at least I think she does). Keck, her ears are standing off as far as the game engine allows (so do Elsha's, by the way, but you don't see it because of her hair), but does it look bad? I don't think so. It just depends on the combination.

Well okay, I have been trying different combinations for approximatly five hours. I've made about 10 characters, and none looked really good. And I've played them at least this far, that I talked to some people on the normandy in the beginning.
And yes, I tried many different combinations, some with really unusual looks, but they all looked so... weak... |

And yes, I tried many different combinations, some with really unusual looks, but they all looked so... weak... Maybe you could post some pictures as examples, so that we could advise you on how you could possibly improve them?
Also, define "weak". What exactly do you mean if you say they looked "weak"? What exactly do you want your Shepard to look like?
I wasn't quite happy with my Kuonrada until I had reached the Citadel for the first time. I felt I might have overdone it with the gauntness of her cheeks (and that bump at some angles on her cheek still bugs me). She can look weak, and sometimes outright silly, but she can look really badass in battle. ^_^
I was about to look through the threads (yes, all of them. Don't worry, I wanted to look them all up to save them in my bookmarks, anyway. I mean, I only had to go about 150 pages to find them all. ^_^ With more than 300 pages available, and not even the archived post search wanting to cooperate, that is actually pretty good.) to see if someone had posted some screenshots of the sliders of their Shepards, when I came across a link to youtube. Apparently, youtube has somen tutorials on creating specific Shepards. Maybe these will be helpful as a reference for you:
Fiona Shepard make a specific Shepard.
Kara Thrace/Lt Starbuck from Battle Star Galactica as Shepard (yes, this is a Tutorial. The actual facegen part starts at about 2:40)
Myria.
These are just a few of them. There's several others, as you can see under Related videos on the right.
I hope this helps.

Hehe, you always come up with the most imaginative and intellectual stuff! :) Her 'square' face really works (though I haven't seen such all that much in Latin American faces; but then again, the only Latin American I really 'know' is Jennifer Lopez, LOL, so feel free to ignore me ignorance). Still, another success! Seems you're more than qualified to teach the new guy how to make Femsheps. :) And Kudos for helping him out so much, btw. _________________ Talitha: When she thinks, water comes out of her eyes. |

Here is my new Shepard that I just started playing a few days ago. I really like the way she came out. This is on the 360 version. Here is Sienna Shepard:

Can you say more about this book? This sounds like it might be my kind of book. Amazon offers no clue, so I'm wondering. I'm a nerd who likes writing the missing words into dictionaries. I hate not having the right word for the right occasion. Thank-you for Thurse! |

Quote: (From Liarafan in the previous thread) Lovely work! Your prime Eden character is nice. I think I like Elena (meant it to be Elana) somewhat better, though. Especially that white/gray camouflage Armor looks really well on her. I like Zoe best, though, even though I'm a Paragon myself. But the way she looks at Kaira, LOL, she means business! She's definitely not a push-over. Se has that Wrex kinda "I want you to try!" look on her face. Very convincing Renegade! And, P.S., most certainly evidence that not all Femsheps look alike!
Thank-you for the compliment. I liked your Kira. I have a fondness for red hair, maybe because it's the least common color? She did look sweet, but that could pose an interesting psychological effect on her enemies when she pulls her weapon, no?

Man! All of your Shepard's are great! I love Eden's eyes (I'm a sucker for em!), Elena is really pretty, and Zoe in not taking Kaia'a crap looks SO cool, and the bun is always a classy touch for the budding renegade
Thank-you, too. I loved your Moriah, she looks strong, no-nonsense, and beautiful, too. An excellent combo. |

Psychological effect, eh? Um, yeah, I could rationalize it that way. :) But truth be told, I was just looking for pretty, LOL. I've said it before, but my Kira actually looks a bit too sweet for the part. But I'm totally fine with that. :) Your Zoe really is much more believable, that way.
N.B. I just realized, your Zoe, with dark complexion and big gun, kinda reminds me of Zoe Washburne, from Firefly. _________________ I don't know which is worse, the geth, or all this DRM in my... nevermind. |

It really is a treasure, and has lots of old and rare words. And what's more, it has a rhyme for "Silver"! ("Gilver", meaning "To ache or throb painfully". ^_^ ).
