PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Please, please read the original post before clicking links and spouting your opinion. You may end up looking like a jerk if all you do is click and troll.
Second, speaking negatively of someone because of weight, height, looks, gender, age, shoe size, WHATEVER is going to be ignored. Its not a contest on who is better, this isn't meant to tear people down, and I am extremely against vicious, competitive 'cosplay'. I am making this post because I am excited to see fans of Mass Effect leak into a costume category--that is truly a sign of fandom to put in that much time, effort and money! PLEASE KEEP THIS ALL IN MIND!

Some of you might remember I made a thread about my Tali costume months back (located here: Click Here ) And I HAVE finished it. Well, at least to a state of contentment--But first I'll be doing links of people who did costumes before me.

FIRSTIES!
1. Kris Sayer from Tatterhood.com made a wonderful Liara T'soni costume last year, and it was featured in the Mass Effect community spotlight. She is currently making a THIRD mold of her asari headpiece and she lurks on the boards so I'm hoping she'll post :3 I don't want to go on and on if she might want to talk too!
Her posts and comics can be found here Click Here and http://www.tatterhood.com/comics

2. Last year at Gencon I saw a HUGE Mass Effect group with an awesome (blonde) Ashley Williams in it. http://www.cosplay.com/costume/170805/

COSTUMES IN THE WORKS:
1. This fine lady did a Benezia at Anime Boston and received Honorable Mention at a contest http://www.cosplay.com/costume/219817/ although she says complete, she still wants to do a head mold so I decided to categorize is as in the works still.

2. Another Benezia! http://www.cosplay.com/costume/130762/ So far only a makeup test but it looks good!

3. Saren http://www.cosplay.com/costume/236142/ So far he has a mold of Saren for a mask, and I'm really, really excited to see the outcome!

4. THANE! Yes, swoon you fangirls! Although there is not any progress, there is a post asking for advice http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=182619 He plans to get started at the end of this month/August

5. Tali and Shepard. Mass Effect forumite KreeCapt was in my Tali thread saying he was going to make a Shepard and a Tali for his girlfriend. I haven't found anything on his work yet, so I'm anxious!

MY WORK:
Yes, I get my own little section I used Tatterhood.com's tutorial for the asari headpiece, and got a lot of image reference/critiques/supply links from forumite David Hingtgen and great feedback and inspiration from many, many forum users here. So thank you!

1. Tali'Zorah nar Rayya http://www.cosplay.com/costume/175497/

2. Asari Commando (currently complete but no good pictures) http://www.cosplay.com/costume/171592/

3. Asari/human Consort http://www.cosplay.com/costume/219720/

I'm still uploading photos on Tali and the commando, so keep checking back! Also, please don't say the helmet is too big...that was such an issue in the last thread but its honestly custom fit to my head ><

Feel free to share this with the ME2 forum users!!!

Those look amazing! I would seriously have the most fun cosplaying as an alien character but my talent and knowledge of constructing costumes is in the negatives. *dramatic sigh*

Thanks Beerfish! ^^

Yakko77: I was actually thinking of making a phony ME movie teaser, but thats waaay too much effort just to get people all riled up xD

IccaRa: Thanks! Its not too bad, I made my commando in about a month and a half and used store bought clothing (neckpiece and belts excluded) If you have any questions about Tali or an Asari, I'd be glad to tell you what I used!
I also have two galleries dedicated to my work in progress. You can also see my super old tali prototype...god it was so bad people dubbed it Dark Helmet.

That is awesome stuff. I wish I had the wherewithal to cosplay, adn the talent to create such beautiful costumes.

You know, I happen to be the Events Coordinator for an Edmonton-based sci-fi / fantasy / comics / games / books / art festival. If you would be interested in traveling some October and showing off your work, and perhaps even hosting a workshop or panel on your work, send me a PM.

Thank you sir, and that would be great! I think Kris Sayer from tatterhood.com would be excellent at doing a panel on asari headpieces, too. I'll PM you later tonight, right now the biggest concern would be taking my costumes on an airplane o.o Its already been on a train and a bus, though.

Thanks everyone! I'm sloooowly uploading pictures of Tali, I'm pretty low on asari photos until I can fix my headpiece issue. Like I said, keep checking back on the links because I think my count on Tali photos is 25-40 (I can't remember). My boyfriend is a slowpoke at editing and resizing the images.

And, as always, I will answer any questions people have.

Your costumes look really cool! Great work. Now you can star in your own Mass Effect movie.

Your Tali costume is amazing! Very well done on that one.
I don't think that your Tali helmet looks too big in this version 2.0 of your Tali costume. It was way too big in the first version of your costume but now it looks perfect IMO.

Your Asari commando costume also looks good, even if you still have some problems with the headpiece. I hope you will manage to fix the issues with the headpiece soon.
Only thing I personaly dislike a bit [beside the headpice issues] is that you used blue cloth for the upper arms instead of using somekind of blue make up/color. I think that would look a bit more natural/realistic, more like true skin. But I assume that would take much more time every time you put on the costume and probably it would also be somehow a mess. So I can understand why you favored cloth instead of make up.

Nevertheless keep up your great work on your costumes. I hope you will put up some more photos of them soon!
