What do the Reapers want from us? What is the reason behind their cycle of annihilation? Why do they attack?
Every time I ask this question in the game I am invariably told that their motives are "beyond my understanding".
That's always when I hurl my bowl of Cheetos at my television screen and shout, "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?! TELL ME, DAMN IT!" |

Why won't you just accept that they are beyond mere human comprehension - humans are so primitive life form. Asking a human to explain their motives is like asking an amoeba to explain differential equations. |

My friend, you are quick to belittle your own race, and you are quick to embrace futility. As soon as you start putting answers beyond you, you are truly becoming the amoeba, for the amoeba reaches for nothing.
I can live with asking a question and receiving an answer I do not understand. But I cannot - simply cannot - live with not asking it.
And anyway, it's the geth, not me, who place the Reapers on such high pedestals. Every race they ever destroyed died in awe of them. They'll get no awe from me.

I fear that may be that tiny bug I made when writing their behavior subroutines, there only is a 1:50000 chance once a year for this to have any effect at all, so no big deal.
The issue will be addressed in the update to Reaper v1.02 which will be ready soon(tm).Edited By J.O.G on 10/17/09 10:01 |

Its the same as when i was younger" some guy has a car that is so fast it could beat anything" now this car that is soooo fast has never been to the track, where it could be timed or run on a dyno where it could be measured.
just because you say something is superior does not make it so. |

Caradoc, come on already. Do you really begrudge us a LITTLE speculation? That's what these forums are for. Speculation. Guesses. Ideas. I know you have them. You're not even going to try? Come on. Don't be all doom and gloom! Have a thought. Have a guess. Work the imagination. I feel like I'm talking to Eeyore the donkey.
Anyway, all you had to say was "I don't know why they attack", and it would've been fine. Cheerleading for the Reapers was unnecessary.
