This should be stickied!!!
I've been spending over a week posting, reading posts, and trying to figure out why I'm having problems logging in to the BSN or creating a new account there. See this thread: Click Here
Then I read this thread: Click Here
In it someone mentioned they changed their EA password to one without special characters and then was able to get into the BSN. I'm big on password security and have always used special characters when I can. I had $, and _, and ' in my EA account password. I changed it to just letters and numbers and VIOLA! I got in to the BSN!
If you're having trouble accessing the BSN try changing your password. _________________ "May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't." -Gen. George S. Patton, Jr.Edited By Valeth Severand on 10/28/09 15:47 |

My password is all letters, no numbers. I've tried letters and numbers and no difference. |

My login and password are identical for my bioware account and my master EA account, and they are linked here in the My Account section on the bioware forums. My password has no special charactrs (letters and numbers only), and I get an error creating an account at the social network site.
I just want to redeem my CE stuff, but can't seem to do so? |

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. I changed my password repeatedly -- from alphanumeric to alphanumeric and special characters to another straight alphanumeric code, and still no dice. I'm not inclined to open a special account just for BSN, so I'll wait a little and see if the login problems get sorted out. Nevertheless, it is a touch frustrating. Trashcan |

I really dont think the problem is with the password the issue is with the website. Its not being addressed. they have a sticky with PDF files but not all of them load. so i ask you if they cant get posting a pdf file right what makes you think they are going to get merging 2 account systems together right? |

The problem with CREATING accounts there is now spreading outward and affecting accounts previously working, such as mine. I was logged in from this particular PC, and never logged out. The site itself logged me out, and now won't allow me to log back on!
I get no error message. It just pretends to do something, runs a broken script, and leaves me right where I started.

For grins and giggles, I thought, I tried to log in and to register the game from my third PC (not the third-best, actually, the very best of however many there are). Normally, I run Windows2000 because it's so much leaner and more efficient, so that all but one PC dual boots with Win2000 and WinXP (other than the one that only has XP and Win7 on it, or I should say, only those two are working).
It was allowed to log in right away, and it was able to go to the Registration page, and to handle my game's CD Key right off, no conflicts at all! Why? Is there a filter locking out W2K for some reason?

That's the sort of thing that needs to be highlighted at the other website help forum. _________________ Soar with the breeze and you'll reach the clouds. |

Don't mind me, just getting my face anywhere someone else is having BioWare Social Networking issues.
I can't log in either, and no, I don't want to use another computer to try, I shouldn't have to. BioWare needs to fix this. I'm on Vista though, so it's not Win2k that's "blocking" me.
You know what I think is blocking me? A Beta site that isn't First-Death-Star Fully-Operational. |

Please use the new 'send debug info' button on the signup page of the social network site if you're still having problems. _________________ Soar with the breeze and you'll reach the clouds. |

I'm having this same problem. I'll click 'redeem items' from within Dragon Age and when I pop out to the web page there's a green-lettered message saying I'm logged in with my in-game account, and please enter some additional fields to continue. This is for creating a new account, mind you, so I click immediately below this green message where it gives you options for using your EA login or your DragonAge login, respectively. No matter which of these I use (and they both work separately from this BSN site), it loops me back around to asking for additional information. So, fine, I'll enter the passwords and the confirmation numbers at the bottom once again, and there it is, the dreaded "email taken" message. So I click to send the automated help message. When, oh when, are they going to fix this? |

I'm having similar and other problems, though posting the details seems like screaming into a hurricane at this point. Here's a thought, maybe have an open beta for the new forum before the game launches... |

I have the exact same problem. It says I'm logged in with my EA Account, but they need more info. Then I'm stuck. I can't create an account. I can't actually log in with the other ones.
My sneaking suspicion is that the "create" account form is supposed to be replaced by a form to provide the additional info, but that isn't happening for some reason. |
