Not sure if anyone else has discussed this or not but I think it is intersting to take note. While on Noveria there is a black assistant that requires a few missions. Upon the end of one of those missions she is called, well a female dog. I find it interesting that during my couple of play throughs this word is not used for anyone else..

I am sure it was not intended to be offensive, however when she's basically the only black female that I've encountered and the only one called a b I have to wonder.

Did anyone else notice this? I'm not calling it racist or anything but it does pose questionable in my opinion. That dialoge was basically the only issue I have with this game. I enjoy it a lot but it just seems rather odd to have these circumstances add up in such a way. It totally feels out of place, like I said because this game does fairly well when it comes to language. Is it just me or what here?

...she isn't really black...and I'm not sure what the significance of the word "*****" is. He called her one because she was arresting him...

What's this topic about?

I also find it ironic we have to censor the word on the forums for the game that uses the same word.

If you are playing the female Shepard and you attack Jax, he'll call you one too. And Gianna will say "Son of a *****!" if you choose one of the options after you tell her you gave the evidence to Lorik Qui'in.

Illmatic, this is as outrageous as the whole sexbox scandal... I mean, in everything people are looking for racism.
When you posted not saying its racist or anything but...
So what were you trying to say?

She's also totally not black. With a name like Parasini, she's obviously Italian.

Yep. Doesn't he call Miss Meditation that down in the Noveria labs? Assuming you have Wrex in your party, that is.

Hm... Yes, I think you're being slightly ridiculous. Over-active racism-radar, I think.

Think of it like this. If she was white would you be questioning her being called a bi**h? Racism goes both ways and it's usually the one who is the racist that notices that kind of thing, not that I think you are.

Like most people in the Mass Effect Universe she seems like a mixture of many different ethnicities. Interestingly enough, in Ascension, they mention that very fair skin is very rare due to all the mixing of the races.
