When mass effect was released, I was captivated by it all. A galactic hero battling an unstoppable world-shattering(no pun intended) antagonist(s), romance, and alien species! It was wonderful, and still is. I wanted mass effect to be more, so I came to the forums. I wanted a community that cherished ME just as I did. I found one. When I came, the most active threads would remain so for up to 12 hours, before it was replaced by another previously unknown idea that people responded so strongly to they would reach up to 15 pages! I was content, and truly felt a sense of community. Now, it is all gone. Where did everybody go?? Now the most active thread is maybe 3 pages and lasts for weeks without anybody replying... I miss the old days, I will say again. Where are you all? |

i'm new to this forum but i'm going to venture a guess...
most people by now have probably beat the game and moved on. though theres not much to move on to these days (how often do you find a kickass game thats longer than 6 hours to beat?) most people have either found hobbies, jobs, or new games that are 15+ hours long and they're not telling us about it
hey, being new, i wish i could have played this game before now. i was still playing KOTOR
i love a good forum, full of new discovery, talent, and tactics. to put it into perspective, i feel like a human new to the galaxy..
i'm just guessing its all been said and done now. |

Most people have moved on to the Mass Effect 2 forums. If you want to discuss something about Mass Effect, why go to the old, dead forum? Go to the new one. It snowballs. _________________ Check out my Mass Effect Movie in this topic, third post down:

The forums are dead, huh? Well I'm not dead, and I'm still posting .
I always felt like the ME2 forums were a bit congested, bit crowded with all the big publicity hype about the new release from developers and gamers alike. That kind of stuff is great, I visit often, but the kinds of backroom discussions with the kinds of minds I like always occur in the ME1 forum, about the things we already know.
I'll keep posting here, frequently, because I believe the forum will be alive so long as the people who post on it are. |

I have been here ever since the game was first released. The whole reason why the forums are dead is because there's nothing new to talk about and most people are just waiting for ME2. I mean, most people posting now are just getting into the game and I've seen these threads a million times before. I only come here once every other week or so. Believe it or not, but even this "the forums are dead" style thread has been posted a million times before. When ME2 comes then the forums will be buzzing again. _________________ Shepard: "You think i give a damn. That's cute." |

Yeah I think most peeps are over on the ME2 boards slathering and frothing at the mouth anxiously for any new detail to drop.
In the meantime over there, there are plenty of threads that are discussing some older stuff.

The Tali love thread and the Ash and Liara love threads are particularly active on the ME2 spots. There are also Garrus Love and Kaidan Love threads. _________________ Elcor are good dancers. |

This. I like the calm. I can't keep up with the ME2 forums and I kind of don't want to encounter a spoiler.
I try to keep things lively here with costume updates but its hard to find someone else to respond (Goodwood has been awesome about it )
People are still here, if it gets to the point where last post was 2 weeks ago THEN its dead! _________________ Love Mass Effect? You'll love Mass Effect costumes! Click Here

Me too. I still check them out but nothing like I did when the game first came out. After two years of playing I don't have many questions. But when ME2 comes out, I'll be posting right along with everyone else. _________________ Yes, it's terribly simple.
