I just purchased Mass Effect through Steam and have both the game and the DLC Bring Down the Sky working perfectly.
I happened to click the Launcher.exe and it gave me the error telling me that "Launcher.xml could not be found". Should I be concerned or does this mean nothing given the fact that the game does run fine? What does it even mean? |

If the game runs fine then there shouldn't be a problem. The launcher is not needed to run the game properly, and since it's the Steam version, it might not be included at all although I'm not 100% certain. Isn't the file called MassEffectLauncher.xml though? _________________ "Photons have mass? I didn't even know they were Catholic."

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, MassEffectLauncher.exe is there and working, it's just the Launcher.exe file that gives me the error, but as you said, it shouldn't be a problem. I'm just being OCD :~P
If I could ask another question, is the over pixelization of a few lights (such as the red lights around Sovereign when you first see him take off of Eden Prime) caused by that DOF problem I've heard about? I've read about it in forums from winter of 2008. Has that issue been fixed by now? |
