How frustrating.
1st time around 0 but I have myself to blame for mix and matching.
2nd time around Kaiden, and Wrex on all the main storyline and quite a bit of the sidequests. I only got the Sentinel achievement
Then too boot I couldn't remember what I choose to do in my first playthrough. argh frustrating! On the brightside I love how the game ended with the Normandy flying out of picture ended like a movie
Clocked in at 46 hours with every sidequest mission done. Well all the ones I could do. Every Mineral, gas, Tags, writings, etc.
I wish the Ally achievements weren't so troublesome
Btw how long would it take to just blitz threw the story missions on a second playthrough? |

Wait until you attempt the Asari Ally achievement... Since Liara is the last character to join your squad, getting the required 15 missions and 35 assignments with her is difficult. Wikia has a guide: Click Here |

Blah I'll have to attempt 3 more playthroughs to get them all. I do like the unlocks though. |

Like that previous wiki link suggests; get your desired squad together, then come back and do the assignments. This is especially important when trying to get the achievement with Liara. Put everything on hold until after you become a spectre or after you recruit Liara, if you need that achievement. |

On my first playthrough i went for using mostly wrex and liara, but having using liara since i recruited her wasnīt enogh for the achivement. I donīt know why, but i think it you have to first rescue liara before going to noveria/feros. Try not to do too many side quests before recruting her too, although you will need some if you are going to survive the rescue. _________________ 92% of teens have moved onto rap. Yes, since you recruit Liara much later than everyone else, you have a smaller window in which to get the achievement. You need to avoid completing any assignments on the Citadel until after you recruit her. Obviously, you want to go to Therum immediately after you leave the Citadel for the first time. Even if you do everything right, you won't get the achievement until very late in the game.
You don't need to do any assignments to beef yourself up for the Liara rescue. Just make sure you target that Krogan first while staying clear of the geth sniper. Stay mobile and hopefully you have access to barrier, immunity or shield boost. _________________ Shepard: You make it sound like you want to disect me in a lab somewhere.
Liara: What? No! I only meant that you would be an interesting specimen for an in-depth study.Edited By AgentGarrus on 11/09/09 15:13 |

3 playthroughs, 6 achievements. They're only hard if you have no clue what your doing. |

I think the achievements have some odd behaviour and never once do I think I got one on the supposed 15/35. Liara isn't hard, just only do the missions (main story) and avoid the assignments before she joins the party. I'm 90% sure that I got here achievement before Virmire. I susspect there is some bad behavoir with the achievements not unlocking or unlocking later than they should. |

Right now I have Wrex, Liara, Tali and Keidan achivments... working on Garrus right now and will problby get Ashley next time I play with a renegade chick.
My favourite party members are Wrex and Tali so got them first... and I never had problems with getting those - just played the game with sticking to the same party. |

Hello there, I'm new here (:
I've a question about those achievments. I've just finish a game and I got 0 ally achievements even I always took with me Liara and Tali.
My question is : If I start a new party with the same main character, have I a chance to unlock those achievements earlier ? Is there any cumulative effect ?
ThxEdited By DarkAlthor on 11/15/09 16:41 |

No. Most achievements are and tied to your profile so it doesn't matter whether it's on the same Shepard or even repeatedly loading a save. For the ally achievements it has to be in one play through. If you did Therum first and had both Tali and Liara in your party as soon as they were available then, assuming the achievement works correctly, your problem was assignments. Don't do any side tasks until you have both, then do a lot. Don't go to Virmire until at least Tali's ally achievement unlocks

Sorry, unlike some of the acheivments there is no cumulative effort, it has to be all in one playthrough for the teammate ones.
If you follow the wiki it should work. I just got Wrex and Liara by gunning for Liara straight out of the gate, then going back to the citadel and doing all the assignments there, then going to every non-plot planet and doing every assignment I could find, then doing Noveria and finishing all the assignments you get from Noveria, Then Feros and doing all the sub-missions on Feros. I finished Liara just before leaving Feros.
Don't forget to speak to your crewmen to get their pet missions. |

Quote: These are tied to the Completionist achievement; you must complete 75% of the game with the squadmate in question. Complete 15 Missions and a minimum of 35 Assignments with the squadmate to gain his or her achievement. Is it 100% right ?Edited By DarkAlthor on 11/15/09 20:23 |

In my experience, no but it's not a bad rule of thumb. An easier still rule of thumb as I wrote before, if you do Therum, Feros and Noveria it's just a matter of completing enough assignments. |
