Sorry, Garrus was one of my least favorite characters and I feel its a disappointing expenditure of energy for him to have been brought back as a full character. for everyone who wants to complain about this decision, lets use this thread.
Garrus could not have been more dry or boring :|

We don't know if he's been brought back as a full character or not (assuming by "full character" you mean "recruitable character"). For all we know he's just a cameo. |

Disagree Liara was so dull and boring. Yes she was innocent but just the way she discussed things. With that said I actually don't mind any of the characters. |

I really like Garrus, but I'm pretty indifferent about Kaidan, Liara, and Tali. However, I recognize other folks like those characters so I don't think it's fair for me to get Garrus back while they get hung out to dry. That's why I think all the ME1 squaddies deserve respectful treatment and they should all appear in the game in some fashion. Then, we can all be pleased that our favorite character is in the game in some capacity rather than angry about them vanishing into a vacuum while other people's favorites come back.

Garrus was ok 
And as the only Turian you get close to he was interesting.
I don't think I hated any of the ME1 characters. |

I never liked him. At least now he doesn't actually look as big a <insert derogatory comment here> as he used to. Props on the uniform. Thumbs down on the turian himself.

I don't love Garrus, I never felt like he was all that interesting a character, if you took away his C sec stories and background, he was kind of an empty shell. I didn't hate him though either, he did have a few interesting points.
I hope he makes a cool cameo appearance as it looks like he will, but I kind of hope that's all too. I'd much rather he be replaced by a much more interesting Turian in your squad.
I never felt like Garrus was the kind of character that showed us what it meant to be a turian. Tali really shined in that regard, she gave us tons of information and a real sense of what being a Quarian was like and made it easy to understand them and their situation.
Liara had a lot of good stuff that helped us understand the Asari, Wrex really grasped the soul of a Krogan, and even Ashley was a good human character. Garrus, he could have been almost any species and it wouldn't have mattered.
I'd like to see a new Turian more like Saren and Nihlus, they were characters that seemed like they had much more to offer from a personal side, they made you want to know more about them. I'd like a character that made it easier to relate to the Turians too. Even after doing Garrus' side mission and taking every single conversation available with him on both Renegade and Paragon, I never got what I wanted out of his character. |

OMG,  Garrus r u serious? He was a likable character!!
 He was better than Wrex who was always complaining about his species but was too LAZY TO DO NE THING ABOUT IT!!!
 Liara was a lil whiny. You would think for her being so old she'd be a lil less of a soft-voiced girl and more of a grown up woman.
Garrus was noble and no sissy!

Garrus was a waste of space! I wish we had the option in ME1 to eject him into space from the Normandy without a spacesuit!
What a pointless and dry character and he is a Turian for God's sake! Turian are suppose to be badass lizard things. |

He's the most interesting squad mate in my opinion. I loved the teacher - mentor relationship that Shepard had with him and can't wait to see the results. He also provided the best firepower out of every other squad mate which was a plus. |

I really liked Garrus, myself, and he seems more hardened and badass in his cameo. Of course, he may just be tired from being under siege for so long in the video. I like all the companions, and never really see where the hate comes from for NPC's in most of these games. When it's a Bioware game, they're usually all awesome.
