It's my understanding that health regeneration will be what is did in Halo 3? If so, that will be awesome, Halo's system was way better. Pretty sure the leveling thins will be the same it is with all bioware game--leveling up by xp, applying skill points to PC with each new level. _________________ My blades are yours to command ~Sky |

If it is indeed regenerating, why the medigel? It doesn't make sense, plus the aid stations in the new ME2 videos... it doe3sn't add up... it seems like regenerating health was scrapped. Which I REALLY hope it was. |

Which I REALLY hope it was. I think it was mentioned somewhere that medigel is needed for the Unity power that revives downed teammates.
But seriously, I heavily agree with Patricks attitude posted on page 3. Not cool. We've just got about 4 new vids, and a CE announced over the course of three days, and there's a thread up about someone saying they're worried about the unaddressed issues of ME2?? It's not even a week after DAO was released, Bioware's barely flexed their marketting muscle on ME2 because they've been focused on DAO,
Time to take a deep breath and just sit tight, Jarrett's been saying we're going to get a flood of videos. But you guys need to realize the world isn't so simple as Bioware going up to Jarrett and asking "Can We show these now?" and Jarrett saying, "Uh, nah, lets just wait"
Jarrett's having to finagle with cumbersome copyright and digital rights laws, the ESRB, and others just to get trailers approved, not to mention having to wait on the EU to finish their tea time so they can go ahead and list the ME2 CE in their stores. So time to just wait. _________________ The actual Commander Shepard [ ] ,Colonial Sole Survivor as an Adept Bastion with Shotgun Talent Shep already failed the suicide mission. --> Box art [smile_:c |

Fair enough.
So what's the deal with ammo? Is there ammo or heatsinks, or both? |

Quote: For one thing, ammunition counts are now visible on the weapons, much like they are in Dead Space, so you lose that one HUD element. All weapons now reload with a thermal clip system, overheating after a set number of shots. The overheat system from the first game may have angered a few game reviewers or something (I didn't really have a problem with it) but this new system is intended to address that. You can still do interesting things with gear like pack your guns with cryogenic ammo to freeze enemies and so on. I respect you guys still trying to glean anything or squeeze a tidbit out of the devs honestly, because Ive now pretty much given up any hope really. Ive spent too long trying to fill in the gaps and make excuses in place of the devs actually telling us something that it just doesnt work anymore. I have to now conclude they are evasive simply because they know some of us will hate the answer they give. It doesnt really make any sense to consider it any other way from where Im standing. "Yeah, lets completely ignore a request from a portion of our fans so they have a nice big surprise when they find out their romances play a big role and are recruitable after all". No, I think "they wont like that answer so keep quiet about it" sounds more likely to me now.
Mind you, its not like I hold a grudge or anything. You never can please everyone, and for the first time in about a decade of playing Bioware games, this one thing has somehow managed to make me feel like Im not really the target of this game anymore. Its been quite depressing really.
Dont get me wrong, Mass Effect 2 looks great still, but just not a great game for me anymore. Now, without some incredibly drastic change, I will probably have to decide whether to see it through and still buy ME2 to see how it holes up against all the expectations I have the moment. But unfortunately I just cant see myself liking it more than ME1 because of this one crucial decider that looks like its going to be pretty much missing from the game outside of a few small mentions.
Well, that does seem to be par for the course here. Devs give out answers, except when it's an answer we won't like, in which case they shut up and hope the problem goes away. Look at DLC - we waited months and months and months - no word. They just dropped PoS on us. Know why they didn't say they were working on anything? Because if we knew what PS was, we would've laughed and given up. Same here. Take their silence as a no. |

Both:
Heavy Weapons: Ammo restricted. Normal Mass Effect Shaved Blocked Weapons: Heat-sinks/Thermal Clips.
As far as I know; (or limits of what we have seen) nothing will be ammo AND thermal clip restricted at the same time.
That could change, but realistically, its one or the other. |

No matter which way you slice it, adopting the viewpoint that any question not immediately answered must be taken as a negative is a bit silly. Particularly when you start trying to use PS as some sort of proof that the devs are out to get us or whatever.
Frankly, on viewing the media we currently have access to, I don't think it's a reasonable viewpoint to judge this game as a lost cause simply because the devs haven't answered every query. Whether the ammo system turns out to be as generic as it currently appears, the new 'Enemies' video effectively silenced any concerns that I had that I wouldn't enjoy ME2, and I'm not sure what was in there that has caused the opposite for you. |

Hi All Why is everybody so on edge about this game? What I have seen of it so far is enough to make me think that is going to be not just great but very possibly the GOTY 2010. Relax, think of it as a movie you´ve been waiting to watch with great expectation. Would you let other guy to tell you the whole story from the begining to the end and spoil it? I think that the Bioware team is letting on enough to tell us all to have faith in them, that they won´t dissapoint us. As for the game details and characters, well, I´m sure that as in ME1 some of us will like people and things that others won´t. That is natural: "to each one his or her own" Christmas is coming so let´s have a good season and let the Bioware team do their job, wich has been great so far. God Bless All ME Fans _________________ Wrex:"I decided that killing for credits is better than killing for a lost cause". |

See ya. Too bad you have to miss out on what will be a great game over something that hasn't been talked about.
Oh dont worry about me, Im quite level headed enough to take care of this myself. I dont need any condescension from you or any other easily offended fans who take people forming their own opinions of ME2 not in line "its teh roxxorz" as some kind of insult. Well, I was expecting this. You let your pessimissism get the better of you and now your gonna miss a great experience. |

Here's a funny though (just throwing it out there). If you had a intimate moment with Ashley in ME1, is there any chance that shes going to be pregnant? Just throwing it out there, don't reject it or be an arse about it. |

Dragon Age taught me one thing (or reaffirmed one thing) about Bioware. Don't question them until they give you a real reason to. Let me explain that.
Every hour there was someone on Dragon Age forums baaaaaaaaawing about how the Rawk music = not an RPG. Or the Gore = Not an RPG, blah blah blah. Dragon Age finally ships, and golly G, it's the deepest RPG in the past 6 or 7 years. And this tale isn't secluded to Dragon Age, but it's the most recent, and probably most colorful example.
So on the whole, I give Bioware the benefit of the doubt, just by name alone, and while I'm sure all the pessimistic elitist asshats would call me an idiot, until they produce what I see from my angle as an abortion of gaming, I have no reason to change this stance. If you're afraid of a little change, piss off back to MW2. _________________ To underestimate an opponent has been the last mistake of many throughout history. |

Man, game fans are the most touchy ***s out there. These guys(atleast the first one, don't know exactly where other guy stands) aren't buying the game because too little of it has been shown? Do you want to see the ending, see if it makes the game worth you time? They've said that romances will carry over, but you guys don't believe it? Do you want to see the new sex scene and let THAT determine whether you want to buy the game or not? Give them some f***ing credit and don't spoil an awesome experience for yourselves! |
