So I have seen two trailers where the F-bomb is dropped. So I was wondering how frequent are they going to be in the game.
Also another question, will subtitles appear before the character is done finishing their sentence. Cause if so glance over the subtitles quickly and if there is a f word comeing up press the Mute button on the Tv remote when it come to the word. _________________ Because failure is an option. |

If anything, the swearing should be on the same level as GTA4 seeing how we are entering a sector rampant with criminals. |

You know to be honest, I only have a problem with the F-bomb.

Lol, extremely foul language. What makes *** anymore foul a word than "food"? Because the great Television told you so? I've always thought it's just a word like any other and isn't the second shape of Satan himself..

Why is it perfectly fine if people curse in movies, but in a game, OMFG!
I wonder if some of you guys wish there was a real life language censor, because in the real world, people curse.
The game is rated M after all, meaning 17+. Don't tell me they don't curse at your high school!
Anyway, I do respect people's opinions on the subject, but I don't think people should get their panties in a bunch if there isn't a setting to censor foul language in the game. |

Last time I checked **** didn't imply the same meaning as food.
And "television told you", "your mom might get upset". Come on guys there's no need for sarcasm, some people find the word completely disgusting, there's no reason to make derogatory comments towards anyone.
Now I'm not the biggest fan of the word ****, but it's something you have to deal with. In COD World at War they dropped the f-bomb four times before you were even able to hold your first gun, of course they had the option to turn language off (which I used). But the point is you're going to have to deal.
However I would also like to know how frequent the f-bomb is dropped, and if Shepard ever uses it. Of course we're not going to get an answer from a dev, so asking is pretty pointless. _________________ They were so focused on the fact that they could do it, that they never stopped to ask if they should do it. - Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)Edited By Malcolm Theory on 11/07/09 17:49 |

Personally I'm okay with it, I mean these are some of the worse people in the universe and what not. I highly doubt they'd be nice and proper. _________________ Bless me father, for I must sin. |

It's not sarcasm.... there's nothing wrong with any word. It's the brainwashing of the television and the society that makes you think so..

I think it's hilarious that so many people get offended at the thought of soldiers and criminals cursing. |

Yeah, haha.. "oh, it was really unnecessary for Aria to curse".
oh wake up, she's a criminal boss..
It'd take away from the RP elements if they spoke too unrealistic. The cursing just adds atmosphere and makes the characters seem more real. |

You asked what makes it any more foul, what makes it foul is the meaning. They don't mean the same thing, ergo it's more foul.
And television doesn't mold a mind to think a certain way, it's parents that do that. At a young age my parents instilled me with a strong sense of what's appropriate and what's not appropriate, and that formed the base of who I am and what I think.
I guess you could blame society, but television has nothing to do with it.
