Hopefully with the information below, you will now be able to pre-order your copy of Mass Effect 2 from your favorite retailer.

Very nice. I was hoping ME2 would follow in the same vein as DA:O and bypass the online activation. And the system specs leave me thinking I may not have to upgrade my PC after all. Double bonus. Thanks for the news Mr. Priestly. |

Sweet, looks like I'll be able to play it at max graphics (like ME1), let's just hope ME3 requirements aren't much higher
It's also great about the DRM, that stupid ME1 DRM only hurts paying costumers (pirates easily got past it) _________________ Look behind you, a Three-Headed Monkey!Edited By DarthCaine on 11/25/09 04:29 |

Question: The first Mass Effect on the PC left many without the ability to play in surround sound. I believe the engine that was used (ISACT) for hardware audio was incompatible with many cards. Is this going to be a problem with ME2? |

The first game did not have anti aliasing support, since Mass effect 2 uses the same engine once again has it now been implemented? Also the engine is infamous for physx support. Does the sequel use it? |

One quick question: I see it's including Win 7 in the supported OS list, but will the engine support directx 11 at all? Edited By Slim Dim on 11/25/09 09:42 |

Lack of AA isn't really a problem to me because I just forced AA in the Nvidia control panel. The lack of surround sound did bother me. Did you perhaps test the game on an integrated Realtek HD?
I'm very happy about the disc check. I think this will encourage more people to buy the game instead of downloading a cracked version.
I'd like to finish with a question. I was over the recommended requirement of ME1 but under that of ME2. I have a 9600 GT which is worse than the 8800 GT. I ran ME1 smoothly on max settings at 1280x1024, I can still do that, right? _________________ The Mass Effect 2 box art is balls.Edited By Fredvdp on 11/25/09 10:16 |

No DRM? Excellent! I think I might just cancel that 360 preorder in favor of a PC version now.
On a personal note, I am just really happy that BioWare actually listened to what your customers were saying after the MEPC debacle.Edited By Delerius_Jedi on 11/25/09 10:54 |
